Cahuita Beach

Cahuita is  a lovely beach side village located in the Province of Limon on the southern caribbean coast of Costa Rica. The village is famous for it's laid back surfer - rasta - hippie vibe. Cahuita offers travelers beautiful palm studded beaches and excellent snorkeling, swimming, and surfing right in front of the town center. The small village is comprised mostly of bungalow hotels, restaurants, bars, and surf shops. Tourists that visit Cahuita, generally come to visit Cahuita National Park, the famous surf and night life.

Cahuita National Park is located just south of the town of Cahuita, about 43 kilometers south of Limón, on the Caribbean coastline in one of the most beautiful and scenic regions in Costa Rica. Its main attractions are the white sand beaches fringed with endless coconut trees, a calm sea of transparent waters and the coral reefs just offshore.
There's also a great variety of land and air animals, such as raccoons, crabs (land and water), howler monkeys, kingfishers, night herons, white-nosed coatis, frogs and toads.
